Анотація

This chapter explores the theoretical and practical aspects of forming social and civic competence in senior preschool-aged children under the conditions of distance learning in Ukraine. The authors examine how early civic education contributes to the development of responsible, empathetic, and socially active individuals. Key factors influencing social competence are identified, including family involvement, educational environment, and targeted pedagogical strategies. The study emphasizes the significance of using play-based and literary activities, interactive teaching methods, and collaboration with families to develop values such as patriotism, empathy, cooperation, and responsibility. Special attention is given to the challenges and opportunities posed by distance education during wartime, highlighting its impact on children's socialization and the role of educators in ensuring democratic, inclusive, and emotionally supportive learning environments.
