The monographic study explores the theoretical foundations of forming natural and ecological competence in senior preschool children through the use of technical teaching aids. The relevance of environmental education is substantiated in the context of current global challenges. The work presents an analysis of scientific approaches to key concepts such as “environmental education,” “competence,” and “natural and ecological competence.” The structure of this competence is outlined, comprising motivational-value, cognitive, and activity-based components. Special attention is paid to the role of technical teaching aids — including multimedia presentations, videos, animations, and sound recordings — in shaping environmental awareness, particularly in the context of distance learning. The authors propose a system of effective implementation conditions, emphasizing collaboration between preschool institutions and families. Practical recommendations for educators are provided to support the successful formation of environmental competence in early childhood education.
